Fungi have been around for about 1 billion years. They perform countless tasks such as decomposing detritus and dead organisms, enabling plant life by transferring chemical signals, food and water, and fermenting to create alcohol or bread.
In recent years their application in building materials has been discovered, using the fungus MYCELIUM. The mycelium consists of a network of branching hyphae or filaments, resembling a cotton wool or complex spider web. It is basically the root of the mushroom.
This root is very consistent and light when applied to building materials such as wood and ceramics. Mixing these three materials together gives us a finish that is durable, lightweight, fire and water resistant, thermal and acoustic insulating, sustainable and biodegradable.
The mycelium and ceramic sound absorbing panel is designed for acoustic conditioning. Its irregular surface and porous texture absorbs sound waves, thus preventing acoustic reverberation. This panel can be applied on walls and ceilings, strategically located to provide a pleasant environment for the user. Its installation is very simple, using the FLEX-ZONE fastening system of the VELCRO brand. This adhesive resists a weight of 300 g per 20mm2. An acoustic acclimatisation panel with an organic finish, creating a unique decoration.
